Obituary of Joseph Azotini
Joseph (Guiseppe) Azotini passed away peacefully at Hospice Niagara on Thursday, December 5th at the age of 87. Loving husband of Muriel Anne Azotini for over 60 years. Cherished father to Dennis Azotini (Robin) and Michael Azotini (Rose). Proud Nonno of Alexandra (Mike), Joey (Jenna) and Austin. Great Nonno to Sophia and Jacob. Dear brother to Joan (D) (John) Frank (D) (Pauline(D) Maria (Gino) Margaret (George), Josephine (Ozzie), Ron (Mary Teresa) and Angela (Tom). And friend to countless others.
Joseph was born in Pignataro Interamna, Italy, to parents Giuseppe and Matilda Azotini, he immigrated to Canada in 1954. Joseph met the love of his life, Muriel, in 1960 and they married on August 1st 1964. After retiring from a long career at General Motors, Joseph spent his retirement traveling, building his model A roadster, gardening, winning several Trillium Awards, boating and cooking.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. The family will welcome guests for a visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday December 10th from 2pm to 4pm then 6pm to 8pm, vigil prayers at 3pm. A funeral mass will be held the following day at St. Alfred’s Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street, St. Catharines, at 1:30pm. Burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow.
