Stepien, Mary
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24th, 2024 at Tabor Manor in her 96th year.Predeceased by her husband Leo (2013) and brothers Henry and Stanley. Survived by her best friend and caregiver Sophie Smith, friends Bob and Wanda, sister-in-law Elsie, nieces and nephews.
Mary was a gentle lady who loved to read, do crossword puzzles, word search, play cards and do extensive research of the itineraries before travelling. Travels with Sophie and her husband John took them to Europe, the Caribbean, Alaska, California, eastern and western Canada and many weekend excursions with no agenda. Mary was a longtime member of St. Denis Church.
Sophie, Bob and Wanda would like to thank Tabor Manor and staff for the excellent care provided to Mary and to George Darte Funeral Home and staff for their professional service.
Friends will be received at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. on Sunday, December 1st from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Vigil prayers at 2pm. Funeral Mass Monday, December 2nd at 11am at St. Denis Roman Catholic Church, 230 Lake St. Interment Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
Flowers gratefully declined, donations made in Mary's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Association or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
