BEATTIE, James "Jimmy" William

Passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 4, 2017. He leaves behind his children Patricia (Stephen) Hardy, David (Shirley) Beattie, Janet Beattie and Cecilia (Paul) Devitt. Loving grandfather to Stephanie (Gregory), Matthew (Christine), James, Daniel, Bradley and great grandfather to Dawson, Owen, Shae and Bronson. Jimmy was a highly recognized and awarded employee of CUPE who believed in preserving the self-esteem, dignity, equality and respect of all people. In keeping with Jimmy's wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 905 937 4444. Funeral mass will be held at St. Alfred Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 11:00am with inurnment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, 4501 Stanley Ave., Niagara Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations to Jumpstart would be greatly appreciated by the family.
