Jacob Poirier

Obituary of Jacob Patrick Poirier

POIRIER, Jacob – Passed away tragically, but while doing what he loved, on Saturday June 28, 2025 at the age of 16. Beloved son of Joe Poirier and Maja Ozog. Younger brother to Joseph and Josh, who both admired his strength, humour and relentless drive. Predeceased by his sister Miranda. He was also a cherished grandson to his loving grandparents Marian and Grazyna, the late Geraldine and the late Joseph. His aunt Roseann and uncle Luigi, cousins Amanda and Matthew; cousin Matthew; aunt Lizette and uncle Marcin; aunt Ewelina and uncle Tomek, and cousins Lena and Nina; and ‘Babcia Ania’ all took great pride in his ambition and spirit. Jacob had a deep love for motorcycles. He was never just a passenger in life, he always wanted to understand how things worked, to fix them, build them and push limits. He dreamed of becoming a motorcycle mechanic, turning his passion into a lifelong craft. Anyone who knew him could see it: he wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty, and he never took the easy road. Jacob was strong, athletic and competitive. He played volleyball and other sports with intensity, heart and the kind of quiet leadership that made others trust him. He had a powerful presence, calm when things were loud, focused when others were distracted and kind when it mattered most. He also loved playing guitar. Music was his escape and his expression, whether he was learning a new song or playing for family and friends, the guitar was always close by. It was another way he shared his spirit: raw, real and full of heart. He leaves behind more than family and friends - he leaves behind a path he carved with purpose. Jacob was the kind of person who didn’t wait. He lived fully. He chased what he loved. He rode toward his dreams without fear. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten. We will love you until our hearts stop beating.
