
Obituary of Amina Nakhla
NAKHLA, Amina ‘Mimi’ – Passed away peacefully at Linhaven Home for the Aged on Tuesday June 17, 2025 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Mamdouh Nakhla (2001) and loving mother of Mervat (Mahmoud Selim) Wahba, Ihab Wahba. Cherished grandmother of Sherif (Carissa Miles) Selim, Anthony Nakhla, Dr. Shehab (Dr. Alison Bell) Selim. She will be fondly remembered by her siblings Mohga (Gad), Dr. Bahaa (Soraya), sister-in-law Didi, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Gamil Ragheb and Margaret El-Hawi, as well as siblings Nahed (Refaat), Hany, Dr. Salah (Safia), Sameh. Mrs. Nakhla, along with her husband, operated Short Stop Variety for many years until her retirement in 2006. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at Linhaven Home for the exceptional care shown to Mimi. Friends are invited to join the family for a Funeral Service in celebration of her life at Queen Street Baptist Church on Friday June 20, 2025 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, where she will be reunited with her beloved husband. In memory of Mimi, memorial contributions may be made to Linhaven Home for the Aged or Queen Street Baptist Church, and would be appreciated.
