DesLAURIER, Arlene Carol (nee Tasse) - Passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Wednesday June 4, 2025 at the age of 81. Best friend, soulmate and wife of 44 years to Larry. Beloved sister of Myrna Jones (the late Les), George (Lynne) Shewfelt and sister-in-law of Diane Tasse. Loving aunt of Janet (Carey) Murray, Leslie (Gabe) Camilloni, Lynn (Rocky) Jones, Karen Jones, Steve Jones, Sandy (Rob) Rempel, Aislene Shewfelt, Andrew Shewfelt, Hannah Shewfelt. Predeceased by her parents Bert Tasse and Dorothy (nee Whalen) MacKay, brother Larry Tasse. She will be deeply missed by her precious 'fur baby' Kaylee. Arlene was a longtime employee of the Thorold Fire Department, serving as Secretary to the Chief. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude for the exceptional care and support received during her stay at the St. Catharines General Hospital. The doctors, nurses and staff of the ICU and CCU were consistently kind and reassuring. Your unwavering commitment to your patients is truly inspiring, and we are deeply appreciative of your hard work and dedication. Respecting Arlene's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In memory of Arlene, memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society of Greater Niagara, and would be appreciated.
