Obituary of Rita McKnight

McKNIGHT, Margaret Marshall 'Rita' (nee Moore) - Passed away peacefully at the Welland County General Hospital on Tuesday May 27, 2025 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late John 'Jackie' McKnight (2006) and loving mother of Linda (John) Greene, Alan McKnight. Cherished 'Nanny' of Jessica (Nicolas), David, Sarah, Hunter, Emily and great-grandmother Angelo, Sullivan. Rita was one of 9 children born to Hugh and Elizabeth (nee Marshall) Moore. She will be fondly remembered by her many dear friends at Martindale Place, her home for many years. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St, St. Catharines, visiting Saturday June 7, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A Funeral Service in celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 am at the funeral home. In memory of Rita, memorial contributions may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, and would be appreciated.
