Obituary of Barbara Ruth Nichols
It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Barbara Ruth Nichols on Monday, May 26, 2025 in her 88th year at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late Paul (2023) for 61 years. Loving mother of Mark (Marjorie), Chris (Jim) and Virginia (Don). Dear grandma of Kelsey, Jordan, Reid, Mallory, Taylor, Aidan, Jonas and great grandchildren Jaekob, Eryn, Riley, Ryker, Vivianne and Hailey. Predeceased by her brother Robert Mitton. Survived by her sister in law Karen.
Barbara was a graduate of St Catharines Collegiate and Mack School of Nurses in 1958 and spent the majority of her career at the St Catharines General Hospital.
She loved spending time with her family and friends and was an active member of the United Church for many years.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice Wellington for their excellent care.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St, at 11:30 am. Private family inurnment.
