Obituary of Eileen Lois Coveney
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Eileen on May 20th, 2025; peacefully, surrounded by family. Eileen, also known to many as Buggie, would have turned 89 on August 14th. Beloved wife of the late Maurice. Cherished Mom of Caren (Steve), and Graham (Sarah). Dear grandmother of Braeden (Erin), Alexis, Camille, Kyla, Karlyn and Jackson. Eileen is predeceased by her sisters, Alice, Mildred, Katharine, Agnes, Edna, Rose and brothers Melvin, Cecil and Jerry.
Mom always loved her time with family, especially time spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed working with children at the YMCA in St. Catharines. Jesus, her Lord and Saviour, was the center of her life and she exemplified His love in everything she did. Eileen loved to read her bible, sing, do crafts, and cheer on her Montreal Canadiens. Eileen was in wonderful care at Radiant Care Tabor Manor and our family is forever grateful for the care and love she received there. We will greatly miss her, however, we are comforted to know she is in the arms of Jesus and we will see her again soon.
In honouring Eileen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A time of fellowship and remembrance will be held at the George Darte Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton St. on Saturday July 5th from 2-5pm with a Final Tribute at 1pm.
