Obituary of Barbara Garvie

GARVIE, Barbara 'Lynn' (nee Shurgold) - Passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Monday May 12, 2025 at the age of 71. Beloved wife of the late James Benjamin Garvie (2024). Cherished mother of Bill (Jennifer) Garvie, the late Matthew (2001) and loving grandmother of Zoey, Kayla. She will be fondly remembered by her sister Patricia (Dwight Sr.) Reid, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Beverly (nee Holman) Shurgold, sister Debbie Barnsdale. 

Lynn loved gardening, cooking, baking, and most of all spending time with her family. One of her greatest joys in life was being a Nana to Zoey and Kayla. Lynn was a kind person with a great sense of humor, and was always so full of love. 

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to join the Celebration of Life at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St, St. Catharines, on Thursday May 22, 2025 from 4 to 6 pm. In memory of Lynn, memorial contributions made to The March of Dimes would be appreciated by the family.
