Obituary of Sharon Millard

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, nanny, and GG, Sharon Millard, who peacefully left us at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 12, 2025. Sharon was 79 years old, born February 14, 1946.

Sharon was predeceased by her cherished husband, Robert Millard. She leaves behind her devoted children: daughters Heather Ravelle, Liz Ross (Marc Ross), Laurie Armstrong (Roger Armstrong) and son Neil Potashnyk (Debbie Potashnyk).

Her heart overflowed with pride and joy for her grandchildren: Tyler and Ryan Ravelle, Benjamin and Kaitlyn Potashnyk, Nicholas Armstrong (Sydney Harmer) amd Macgregor Armstrong along with her great grandson Miller Armstrong, son of Nicholas and Sydney.

Sharon had an adventurous spirit and deeply enjoyed travelling with her beloved group of friends from the Solo Club at CAA and the Fly and Flop Warriors ladies bunch. Together, they shared a wonderful camaraderie filled with flamingo fun and cherished the joy of simply being together. Sharon was also an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs, rarely missing a game. Among her happiest moments were the times spent attending Jays games, both at home and away. Go Jays Go!

Known for her extraordinary kindness, boundless generosity, and unwavering strength, Sharon was often the one who organized the parties, luncheons and gatherings with her beloved friends and family. She touched the lives of everyone around her and leaves behind a remarkable legacy of love.

Sharon will be profoundly missed, and her memory will forever be a treasured blessing to all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St Catharines from 1pm to 3pm. Celebration of Life will take place at 3 pm. Private interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
