
Obituary of Rosa Maria Gabriella Marano
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Rosa Marano (nee Mazza) announce her passing on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Millenium Trail Manor in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Nicola for 44 years. Loving mother of Tony and his wife Pina and the late Rosemary. Cherished Nonna of Alissa and Andrea. Predeceased by her parents, Martino and Rosaria Mazza. Missed by her siblings, Carmela (late Angelo) Agnino, Joe (Josephine) Mazza, Frank (Rita) Mazza, Angelo (Lucy) Mazza, Rosalie (late Charlie) Zambito, Sam (Francis) Mazza, Maria (Battista) Vendittelli and Vince Mazza deceased (Lucy). She will be missed by family in Italy, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rosa loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved cooking, baking and attending to her garden. She was an accomplished seamstress, working for Woolco for many years. The family would like to thank Dr. Dargavel and the staff at Millenium Trail Manor for their excellent care. The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton St., on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Vigil prayers at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass for Rosa will take place on Tuesday, May 6th at St Vincent de Paul Church, 73 Picton St, Niagara on the Lake at 11am. Entombment Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. If so desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region or the Canadian Cancer Society.
