Obituary of Najat Saoud Hazzouri

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Najat Hazzouri on Wednesday, April 30 2025 at the age of 87. Najat is now reunited with her late husband, Hachem Hazzouri and will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ali (Danie), Oula (William), Nada (Pierre), Omar (Lucy) and Souha (Nidal) and Tayta to Natalie, Nadine, Tina (Michael), Melodie, Nicholas, Andrew (Sadie), Chad, Peter, Mark, Alex, Ryan and Jad with extended family in Lebanon.

Najat was born in Lebanon and worked as a teacher there before marrying Hachem and immigrating to Canada in 1990. Her family was her pride and joy and enjoyed many family gatherings with traditional Lebanese dishes.

In keeping with Najat’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. The family welcomes guests for a time of gathering on the evening of Friday, May 2 2025 from 6:00 – 9:00 in the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held the next morning beginning at 10:00am in the funeral home ceremony room with burial to take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation in memory of Najat.
