Obituary of Carol Paroyan
Carol Paroyan passed away peacefully at The Greater Niagara General Hospital on April 23, 2025 surrounded by loving family at the age of 67. Pre-deceased by parents Missak and Marie, sister Henriette and brother Laurent. Cherished sister to Louis (Monique), Madeleine (Tony deceased), Jean-Pierre (Marilyn), Antoine (Wanda deceased), Jackie (Ray deceased), Christiane (Garbis). Sister-in-law to Audrey and Margaret. Special aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Carol was born in St. Catharines Ontario on July 5, 1957. At the age of one-and-a-half Carol suffered from an illness that left her severely disabled. She was looked after by her loving parents for 30 years before moving to Bethesda home in Vineland until 2002 and then moved to Grapeview Group Home (Bethesda) until her passing. Despite her disability, Carol enjoyed movies, swimming, camping, music and being surrounded by loving care from her devoted family and group home family.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the exceptional care and compassion from all those who took care of Carol throughout her life.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the George Darte Funeral Home. A private funeral ceremony will be held at St. Gregory The Illuminator Armenian Apostolic Church, 49 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Tuesday April 29th at 10:30am. Following the ceremony, burial will be held at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
