
Obituary of Anna Catharina Custers
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Anna Catharina Custers on April 22, 2025 in her 90th year. Loving mother of Peter(Anita), David(Nicole), Brian(Alice), Marianne(Brian), Mark and predeceased by sons Don(Laurie) and Albert(Elsie). Proud grandmother of Tyler, Stephanie, Jeff, Marylin, Nicole, Corey, Kristin, Paul, Eric, Adam, Michael and Kyle. Dear sister of Matt, Bill, Cathy, Alice, Gerry, Casey, Albert, Ron and predeceased by sister Joan.
Anna immigrated to Canada with her family in 1955. She worked various jobs throughout her life and ended her career at General Motors. Anna was a strong woman and a force to be reckoned with. She moved to the Jacob Retirement Home in 2022 where she soon became well known for her Ladderball, Euchre and puzzling skills as well as being queen of the one liners. Anna had no filter and told it like it was. She will be fondly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with George Darte Funeral Home,585 Carlton St. in St. Catharines.Visitation will be Sunday April 27th from 5pm to 8pm. Services will be held at St. Denis Church, 230 Lake St.,St. Catharines on April 28th at 10:30 am.
