I am so sorry to hear of Ernie’s passing. I worked with him at GM for ten years or so until his retirement. I have many fond memories of working with him and his jovial demeanour. I commend his family for the very complete obituary. It spells out exactly how Ernie was. So sorry for your loss.

It was my privilege in recent years to meet Ernest while visiting my friend, Starlene. His kindness and warmth was evident the minute that I met him, and was further demonstrated with his offer to help me with a mechanical issue.
Ernest’s daughter, Starlene, is the most decent, kind, and caring person I have ever known. Upon meeting Ernest it became evident where those qualities where fostered and then emulated.
To Ernest’s family, please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss of a husband, father, uncle and grandfather; a man who by deed and word evidently shone every day of his life.
