Passero, Ofelia peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, April 12th, 2025, at Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Gennaro for over 60 years, devoted mother of Linda and her husband Andy, Maria and her husband Marco, and John and his wife Maria. Cherished Nonna of Andrew, Julia, Joshua, Matthew, Rachel, and Michaela. Lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law Nicolina (the late Pasquale), Maria (Adelio), and Tina (the late Bruno). Predeceased by her brother Liberato (Elke), sister-in-law Ada (Vince) and brothers-in-law Vince (Tina), Vito (the late Vickie), Joe (Lilia), and Tony (Carmie). Forever missed by her many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, 905-937-4444 on Tuesday, April 15th from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Vigil prayers at 2pm. A celebration of Ofelia’s life will be held in the ceremony room of the funeral home onWednesday, April 16 at 11am. Entombment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If so desired, donations made in Ofelia’s memory to the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital would be appreciated by her family.
