
Obituary of Jeannette Huot
With heavy hearts and deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Jeannette Huot on Friday, April 11, 2025 at the tender age of 102; predeceased by her husband, Emile Huot. Forever remembered by her loving children, Robert (Irene) Huot and grandchildren, Dwayne (Kendra) and Darla; Denise (Ralph) Mason and grandchildren Murray (Leanne), Mark (Joanne); Yvette (Paul) Lascelle (both pre-deceased) and grandchildren Louise, Louis, Luc (Mary), and Denise (Don) Jones. 10 great-grandchildren; sister Angela (the late George) Upham with many nieces, nephews and extended family members to mourn her. Jeannette was predeceased by her siblings, Lucia, Levis, MaryJane, Jean-Batiste, Albini, Joseph, Albertine, Rita, Roger, Oza, Rheal.
Born in Noëlville to parents Oscar and Rose-Emma Dionne (Meilleur) on February, 23 1923. Jeannette came from a large family and was a twin at birth to Maria G who passed in infancy. Jeannette was an employee of the St. Catharines General Hospital for many years until she retired. Best known for her baking, canning, gardening and cooking. Jeannette enjoyed travelling with her friend Lena and took a bus trip to BC which she often reminisced about. Recently, Jeannette maintained her quality of life before her hip replacement which left her using wheelchair.
In keeping with Jeannette’s wishes, funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. The family wish to invite guests for a time of gathering on Friday, April 25th from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm in the funeral home followed by a Celebration of Life in the funeral home ceremony on Saturday, April 26 2025 beginning at 10:00am with burial to take place at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. If desired, please consider making donations to Wellspring Niagara in memory of Jeannette.
