Obituary of Helen Lillian Steeves
Steeves, Helen Lillian (née Gaudreau)
October 8, 1945 – April 5, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen Lillian Steeves (née Gaudreau), who left us peacefully, surrounded by love. Helen was born in Montréal, Québec on October 8, 1945. She started her family in Milton, Ontario, and later raised her children in Kingston, where she built a life rooted in love, resilience, and care. Helen will be lovingly remembered for her strength, kindness, and quiet grace. Helen is now resting peacefully with her beloved son, Craig Steeves, her parents, Gerald and Joyce Gaudreau, and her sister, Jacqueline Andersen. She leaves behind her son Brad Steeves (Jessica), her cherished grandchildren: Makayla, Logan, Lydia, Kaitlyn, Emma, Tyler, and Alexa, and her daughter-in-law Kristin. Also mourning her loss are her brother Daniel (Josiane), brother-in-law Ove, nieces Mélanie, Andrée-Anne, Cassandra, and nephew Henrik, who will miss her warm heart and gentle spirit. A service for family and friends will be held on May 17 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Church, 89 Mountainview Rd S, Georgetown. Helen will be remembered always and missed deeply. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, a cause Helen held close to her heart.
