Obituary of Catharine Storey

Catharine Louise Storey (July 24, 1950 – March 17, 2025)

Catharine (Cathy) Louise Storey, 74, passed away peacefully with family by her side on March 17, 2025.  She was born in Noranda, Quebec and moved to St. Catharines and spent most of her adolescent years in Port Dalhousie.

Cathy was predeceased by her husband George (Chico) Storey (1985), her dad Marc Courteau (2012), her mom Eileen Courteau (2006), her beloved son Shawn (2023) and her brother Wayne (2022). 

She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Catharine Storey (Bobby), her sister Cindi Ingham (Danny), and her brothers Paul Courteau (Rhonda), Brian Courteau (Lynn) and sister-in-law and best friend, Irene Storey.  Also dearly missed by her grandchildren, Kandis (Ryan), Ireland, Emerson, Elijah, and Ivy; great grandchildren, Emma, Mason and Dax; and her many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

Cathy loved travelling and loved to reminisce about her many adventures.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed.

As per her request, cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life will be planned in the near future, followed by interment with her son Shawn at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre will be appreciated.
