Obituary of Carol Ann Pushie
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Pushie on March 14, 2025, at the age of 83. Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, William Thomas Pushie. She will be deeply missed by her family, the compassionate community at Pioneer Elder Care, and her many friends around the world.
Carol lived a vibrant and fulfilling life, leaving a lasting impact through her love of teaching. She dedicated her career to educating primary students in St. John’s, Newfoundland, nurturing young minds and inspiring countless lives. Beyond the classroom and in retirement, Carol and Bill embraced adventure, traveling the world on countless trips. They also shared a passion for square dancing and participated in competitions throughout North America. When back in St. Catharines, Carol also enjoyed gardening, entertaining, and playing bridge.
Carol's legacy of love, grace, and passion for learning will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Special thanks are extended to the kind-hearted staff at Pioneer Elder Care and especially to her devoted caregiver, Shirley Hollingworth, for their kindness and support.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, (905) 937-4444. In honour of Carol's love of animals, memorial donations may be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society.
