Dear Aileen and Karl. I am so sorry to hear of your dear Mothers passing. I spent many hours babysitting in your home when you were our neighbours on Dufferin Street. Your Mom was like a second Mom to me having guided me through Explorers, CGIT and the youth group at Welland Avenue United Church. I loved listening to her sing as well. After me moving out west it was a pleasure on one of my trips home to visit your parents over on Taylor Ave. She was so happy I thought to come and visit. We crossed paths several years later when again her and my parents again became neighbours at Luther Manor. Marilyn was such a social butterfly always joining in with the lunches, dinners, potluck events and such. When my Dad was in hospital she was one of a few who took turns checking in on my Mom making sure she was OK. I will always remember her kindness and love. Rest in peace dear Marilyn.
