Obituary of Czesława Theresa Rog

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jessie (Czesława) Rog on Thursday, March 6th, 2025 in her 94th year. Loving mother to her daughter Yvonne (Daniel) Frye and son Richard (Joanne) Rog. She will be missed by her grandchildren Angelica, Jenny and David. Mom will be reunited with her late husband James Rog which they celebrated over 60 years of marriage.

Jessie was a woman of boundless energy with an unwavering dedication for people in need. 

She travelled through several countries after the war which included Africa and India.  Eventually Jessie and her husband settled in Canada and she worked as a nurse at the Hotel Dieu hospital for many years.

Jessie’s greatest passion included leading the Polish scouts organization. This calling shaped her life and the lives of countless youths that remain faithful and grateful to her contributions. 

Through her kindness, wisdom, and unshakable spirit, she instilled values of leadership, resilience, and adventure in generations of young minds.

We will celebrate her life and carry on her strength and spirit within our hearts. The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton St. on Tuesday, March 11th between 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

The Funeral Mass for Jessie will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 5 Oblate St.on Wednsday, March 12th at 11am. St. Catharines. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.

Her vibrant presence and devotion to helping others will never be forgotten. 

May she rest peacefully, knowing she made the world a better place.

In lieu of flowers, donations  made to  Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church or Niagara Peninsula Children’s Foundation in Jessie's memory would be appreciated by her family
