Obituary of Aniela Helen Ciesla

In Loving Memory of Aniela (Fudala) Pilch Ciesla

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Aniela (Fudala) Pilch Ciesla at the age of 83. Born on October 1, 1941, in Rogoznik, Zakopane, Poland, Aniela immigrated to Canada in 1963, beginning a new chapter filled with love, resilience, and deep connections that touched the lives of all who knew her.

Aniela was first married to the late Karol Pilch, with whom she had two sons, Stan (Sylvana) and Ted (Anna). In 1988, she found love again and married Stan Ciesla, embracing his family as her own and becoming a devoted stepmother to Todd (Maria), Debbie (Brett), and Ron.

She was a proud and loving Babcia to Steven (Annette), Christopher (Kristina), Taylor, Allegra, Lucas, Brianna, Kyle, Abby, Stefanie, and Joshua, and a cherished Prababcia to Liam, Jacob, and Nathan.

Aniela is survived by her beloved brothers Walter (Irene), Peter (Katrina) and her dear sister Zosia, both of whom, along with their families, will miss her dearly. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends across Canada, Poland, and Chicago.

A long-time member of the Royal Canadian Polish Legion Branch 418, Aniela took great pride in her heritage and community. Family was the heart of her world, and her home was always open to anyone. She made sure that everyone who walked through her door was met with warmth, laughter, and her wonderful cooking. Her hospitality and love for family gatherings created cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Aniela had a deep love for travel, embracing every adventure and treasuring the experiences she shared with her loved ones. Whether exploring new destinations or simply enjoying time with family, she created lasting connections and beautiful memories along the way.

Her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home & Cremation Centre 585 Carlton St. on Wednesday February 26th from 2-4 & 6-8pm.
