Maureen was the first person I would see when I walked in to Shoppers Drug Mart in Niagara on the Lake and she was the last person I would see when I left. We always shared a nice greeting. I am very sorry to hear of her loss and I extend my deepest sympathy to all of Maureen's family and friends. God Speed.

Maureen was so great to our family, and we were very lucky to be able to have her and the Mannell family in our lives. Maureen went above and beyond the normal role of a babysitter, and always took my sister and I on fun outings. The ones I remember the most are our many afternoons spent at Eastport Park (we called it the “Close Park”) and Happy Rolph’s. The Mannell family was such an important part of my childhood. While I was devastated to hear of Maureen’s passing, I’m glad I can still look back on all of those memories and am thankful to have had such a kind soul in my life.

“Mo” sweet “Mo” she worked so hard and always had the kindest words for Jan and I. If I saw her working on a shelf in Shoppers, I knew I could get a smile from her with a bit of gentle kidding. It’s hard to imagine the store without her. Jan worked with her shortly after the NOTL store opened and they saw time pass together. Our sympathy goes out to the family and her closest friends.

Maureen and I worked together at Shoppers (2 different locations) for her 25 years with the company. She was a kind, caring person who always showed up. Our customers will notice her absence. In our lunch area they post the customer comments and internal staff comments and every time there’d be Maureen’s name on most of them. I’d walk past them and say to myself “Maureen, Maureen, Maureen” lol. My condolences to her family and Maureen your work family will never forget you!!!

I had the privilege of working with Maureen for the past 10 years. We had many laughs over those years. We both were ex baseball players, so when one of us needed the keys to the office, we would throw them. Not once would Maureen miss catching them. She was well liked by so many of our customers. I am going to miss her so much. Rest with the angels Momo.

I am so grateful for the many years of adventures & amazing memories I have with Maureen. She was such an important part of our family for so many years and I will never forget everything she (and her family) did for us. She was truly one in a million.
I am so saddened to hear of her passing and send so much love to the whole Mannell family during this challenging time.

We send our deepest condolences and much love to the Mannell family. Maureen was a very big part of our family for many years. She looked after our son and daughter, Thomas and Margaret for many years and they adored and loved her. She made everything fun and an adventure and they always had stories to tell of what they had been up to with Maureen. We all have very fond memories of her and we are deeply saddened by her passing. We will never forget you Maureen. Xo
