Proud Great-Grandma of 22 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sisters, Donna Adair and Myrna (Lance) Tufford and sister-in-law Doreen (Doe) Wilson. She will be lovingly remembered by her many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husbands, Pius Griffin (d.1980) and Larry Cunningham (d.2016), son Richard Griffin, granddaughter Mary Ann, brother Howard and sister Aileen Byford. Norma was a dedicated volunteer, giving her time to Linhaven Long-Term Care for 25 years. Norma worked as a custodian at both St. Joseph’s and St. Theresa’s elementary schools in Merritton, enjoying being part of the local school community. Her family was the most important part of her life and she always made sure she was present for all of their major life events. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy and she leaves them with a legacy of love. The family extends their gratitude to the staff at Tabor Manor who provided loving care to Norma during her time there. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., from 1-3 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018. Vigil Prayers will take place at 2:45 p.m. on Friday.
