SHAW, Isaac McKillop

With heavy hearts, the family announces the peaceful passing of Isaac on Monday, December 11, 2017 weeks shy of his 92 birthday. Beloved husband of Anne, loving father of Anne (Les) Smithson, Patricia (Martin Shimmon) and David (Delia). Cherished Papa to Megan, Owen, Ashley and Avaro, brother to Margaret, Sadie (John), Uncle to many nieces and nephews and extended family members both here in Canada and in Scotland. Predeceased by his parents Mary and John Shaw and his brothers Davy and John. Isaac came to Canada in 1957 from Scotland. He was a proud Scotsman but he loved Canada. He loved Baseball, especially the Toronto Blue Jays. He was a long standing and proud member of the Imperial Veterans’ Association. To Isaac, family was everything, the memories made with him will be forever cherished. Many thanks to Dr. Bill Lucey for his unwavering support and compassion over our father’s care. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass will take place in the funeral home on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. A Rite of Committal will follow Mass at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston St. Memorial donations may be made to the Imperial Veterans’ Association or to a charity of your choice in Isaac’s honour.
