Obituary of Stanley Jacob Klimek
KLIMEK, Stanley Jacob - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Stanley Jacob Klimek on Monday, October 30th, 2017 with his loving family by his side at the St. Catharines Hospital at the age of 93. Devoted and caring husband of Sophie for 74 years. Dearest father of Brian (Laura) Klimek and Barbara (Richard) Jadwiszczak. Proud grandfather of Tiffany, Tammy (Guy), Jamie and Ally. Loving Great Grandfather of Keegan, Tristan, Bree, Kaelyn, Kaden, Chase and Jaxx. He was predeceased by his parents Anton and Katherine Klimek, his 3 sisters and 8 brothers. Stanley coached baseball with the Mackinnon Macs, winning various Ontario Baseball Championships. He was a longtime member of the Mac Alumni and a member of the St. Catharines Old Boys Lacrosse Association. Stanley enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s many sporting events. Dad enjoyed his friendship with Bob, Ruth and Greg Bell. Their coffee chats were discussing sports, news issues and history of the city. As per Stanley's wishes, their will be no visitation. A private family interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery will take place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME. Memorial donations can be made to the Hotel Dieu - Shaver Hospital. “Dad, we will miss your kindness, generosity and childhood stories. We will miss seeing you give big hugs and kisses to your great grandchildren, but most of all we will miss seeing the tender love you had for Mom. When you would say goodnight to her you would tell her 'You will always be my girl'. Dad you will live in our hearts forever."
