BURGIO, Alfonso

Peacefully in his sleep, Alfonso passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017, at Henley House at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Anna (2005). Loving father of Vince (Grace) and Joseph (Angie). Cherished Nonno of Al (Gina), Jennifer (Ralph), Ryan (Briton), Jason (Carolyn) and Amanda (Michael) and Great Nonno to Lucas, Tristan, Alessa, Melissa and Meyer. Survived by his brother Leonardo (Maria), sister-in-law Giovanna Coco, brother-in-law Giovanni (Carmela) Coco and many other extended family members. Predeceased by his parents Vincenzo and Maria, brothers Rosario and Antonino and brother-in-law Ignazio. His zest for life centered on his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, who will miss him and his forever cautionary advice.

The family will receive guests and friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria, 3 Lyman St., at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Hwy 20, Fonthill. Memorial donations to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
