Obituary of Laura Beatrice Gordon (nee Kelty)

Gordon, Laura (nee Kelty) - We are sad to announce the gentle passing of our beautiful Laura after a very courageous battle with cancer. By her side was her loving husband Jim "Rack" of 37 years, on Friday September 22, 2017 at St. Catharines General Hospital. She is now reunited with her beloved daughter Shannon (1996). Survived by her sons Sean and James. Cherished sister to Joan, Mary Lou (John), Cathy (Wayne),Glenda (Dave) and many loving family members, close friends and her cat Mallory. Laura will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Sandra and brother-in-law Mark. Predeceased by her sister Marilyn, brother Peter, brothers-in-law Charlie, Stan, Ray, Cliff, John, and Jimmy. Laura enjoyed a long career in the banking sector where she had an immense impact on her many clients. She loved helping others in any way that she could. She later volunteered in various roles within her church; was an avid Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs fan; loved her many trips to Cuba with her husband Jim where they had numerous friends and made great memories. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of CCAC, especially Dorsey who was instrumental for the wonderful care of Laura for the past two years.
