Obituary of Bernard Cairns

CAIRNS, Bernard

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Loving husband of Theresa Cairns for 43 years. Proud father of Stephen and David (Julie) and cherished Papa of Annabelle and Audrey. Dear brother to Mary (Frank), Thomas (Moira), John (Donna) and Ellen. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and best friend John McDonald. Predeceased by his parents Francis and Ellen Cairns, sister Jean, brother Frankie, sister-in-law Mary (Richard), brother-in-law Denis and best friends Jimmy McNeil and Willy Fallis.

Bernard was born in Old Kilpatrick, Scotland and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1980. He was known for his cheeky sense of humour and for his love of The Celtic FC "You'll never walk alone" Bernard. Those who knew him best knew that he had a sweet tooth and a freezer full of bread.

The family wishes to thank the Dialysis team as well as the Nurses at the St. Catharines General Hospital for years of support.
