Obituary of Nancy Anna Marie Sanderson

Nancy Sanderson, daughter of the late Jake & Jennie Unrau, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 16, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.  Left to miss her always are her beloved husband & soul mate of 40 years, Ed; her daughters, Rosemary (Cory Tessier) and Janet; her treasured grandchildren, Chasity and Trenton; her "little" sisters, Shirley Sauve (Jim), Jan Kortellos (Harry) and Mary Unrau; her nephew, Nathan Kortellos (Kelly), and great nephew and niece, Calvin  and Kennedy.  Nancy worked for many years in her family's business, Jen's Homestead Bakery, in several capacities, one of which as a gifted cake decorator. She also enjoyed being an Avon representative, helping her many customers and friends.  Nancy expressed her abundant creative talents through needlepoint and crochet, blessing her family and friends with her completed works of art.  A very sincere thank you to Dr. Aillson Suk, family physician, and Dr. "Dan" and staff of the dialysis unit in St. Catharines, for their compassion and excellent care of Nancy.  Thank you also to the staff of Garden City Manor who cared for and about Nancy.  The funeral service in celebration of Nancy's life will be held at George Darte's Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, ON, on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers and in memory of Nancy, her family would appreciate donations made to the St. Catharines Salvation Army or the Diabetes Association.
