Obituary of Werner Lude

LUDE, Werner

Peacefully died on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the St. Catharines Hospital. His adventurous soul took him and his wife Lore Waltraud, from Germany to Canada in 1956, in pursuit of a better life for him and his family. He lived a full life enjoying all the great and simple things his new home offered. He loved spending time with his wife, daughter Karen and her family, walking through parks, long drives, travelling and sitting on his beloved porch to enjoy nature and a quick chat with a passing neighbor. He took great pride in his daughter’s, son-in law Ron’s, and grandsons’ Kevin and David’s lives and accomplishments (residing in Saskatoon, SK). They survive him along with the love of his life and wife of 60 years. He is preceded by three siblings and his parents in Germany. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ontario Lung Association.
