Obituary of Manuel Antonio Macedo

MACEDO, Manuel Antonio It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a great man on Monday, April 24, 2017 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Maria for 55 years. Loving father to Joe and Fernanda (John) Grabias. Cherished Vavo to Michael, Sandra (Paul) and Cristina. He will be dearly missed by his brother Jose (Lucia), niece Lucy, Goddaughter Cristina Dutra and many other extended family members. A special thank you to the team from CCAC, Dr. Andrew Smith and his team, the Walker Family Cancer Center, the palliative care nurses of the Niagara on the lake Hospice and the 3rd floor Oncology section c palliative care at the St. Catharines General Hospital for all their care and compassion. Visitation will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held in the visitation room at 3 p.m. on Thursday. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 73 Picton St., Niagara-on-the-Lake on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. A Rite of Committal will follow Mass at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery, Lakeshore Rd, Niagara-on-the-Lake. Memorial donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Center.
