Obituary of Olga Townsend

TOWNSEND, Olga Peacefully surrounded by her family, Olga passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, in her 90th year. Beloved mother of Bonnie (Lorne) MacNeil, Billy (Donna), Jamie (Patti) and mother-in-law of Jane (Paul) Proto. Cherished "Gram, Baba, Boo-boo" of Stephanie Winstanley, Tigger (Sharnie) MacNeil, Tim, Adam, Melissa (Jeff) Brooks, Kevin, Katie, Jamie, Randi-Lynn, Tiffany and great-grandchildren; Chris, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Karley, Emma and Ava. Dear sister of Ronnie Wodniski. Olga was predeceased by her husband Bill, her son Georgie and also by 6 brothers and sisters. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the ladies of March of Dimes, across the hall from 119C. Family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, on Wednesday, May 25, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Star of the Sea Church, 34 Elgin Street, Port Dalhousie, on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow Mass, at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Jordan Station. As an expression of sympathy, donations given to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by Olga's family.
