Obituary of Antonia Marcella (nee D'Addazio)

Marcella, Antonia (nee D'Addazio) - Passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Saturday April 30, 2016 at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Paolo (1995) for over 47 years, and her siblings. Loving mother of Edda (Sal) Costantini, Enio (Patricia), Emilio (Micheline), Serge (Melony), Frank (Lori). Cherished Nonna of David (Julia), Michael, Tanya, Jonathan, Jordan, Micah, Elijah, Christian, Summer, Bianca and Caleb. Beloved Ninni of Phoenix and Scarlet. She will be sadly missed by her many loving family members in Canada and Italy. Antonia left Italy and her family to begin a new life for her children in Canada with her husband Paolo.She enjoyed to cook for her family as they were the most important part of her life. She also was a devoted parishoner at St. Alfred's Church and enjoyed to have coffee with her friends after church. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks Dr. Geisbrecht and the staff in the Oncology Department at the NHS Site (Walker Cancer Centre) and the many nurses and Personal Support Workers that helped our mother over the last six months. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Monday May 2, 2016 between 4-9 pm. Vigil prayers will be said in the funeral home at 4:30 pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street, on Tuesday at 12 pm. Entombment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Wellspring Niagara or Radio Maria in Antonia's honour.
