Obituary of Kevin Doherty

DOHERTY, Kevin Patrick It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin, on Friday, April 29, 2016 in his home surrounded by his family, at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Elizabeth, for 46 years. Forever loved father of Kelly Doherty and Brenda (Shaun) Allington. Cherished Poppie of Evan, Ciara and Mckenna. Kevin will be dearly missed by his brothers, sisters, their families and extended family here in Canada, Ireland, England and Scotland. Kevin was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary and also by his brother Noel. He was a proud Millwright of Local 1007, for 40 years. Kevin’s greatest passion was for his family and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. A special thank you to those who cared and supported Kevin, especially his caregivers Brenda, Alex and Marek. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, on Tuesday, May 3, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 8:30 p.m.. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street, on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 1 p.m.. Cremation to follow Mass. As a loving father and grandfather, donations given to a children’s charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
