Obituary of Margaret Anne Millar

MILLAR- Margaret (nee Gibb) July 23, 1962 Margaret Millar passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4th, 2015 with her husband and family by her side. Margaret is predeceased by her father, Peter Gibb, mother Mildred Gibb and sister Evelyn. Margaret is survived by her loving husband Alan Millar, beautiful daughter Samantha Warren-Gibb. Brothers & Sisters, Frank (Danielle), Suzanne, Mary, Rita (the late John), Peter, Kathy (Geoff), Martin, Elizabeth (Neil), David (Renee), 21 nieces & nephews & 3 great niece and nephews. Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law, Jean (Millar) & Ian MacGlashan. Margaret was a wife, mother, sister and friend. She had a love of life and was devoted to helping others. She was a talented baseball player and loved to garden, bake, read, golf and spend time with her family. Many thanks and sincere appreciation to the staff at Hospice Niagara, and family and friends who were so generous with their support throughout all of Margaret's life and thoughout her 11 year courageous battle with cancer. She will be sadly missed. Margaret's family will receive guests at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Monday, September 7, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Alfred's Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines, on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. An interment will follow Mass at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston St., St. Catharines. Margaret has requested in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Terry Fox Foundation (Millar in Motion - St. Catharines Chapter) or Hospice Niagara.
