Obituary of Arnaldo Vani

VANI, Arnaldo Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, Arnaldo passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of 58 years to Carmel (nee DeRocco). Dear father of Anthony (Elena) and Michael (Anna). Cherished Nonno of Anthony (Patri), Vanessa, Danielle and Andrea. Loved Great-Nonno of Grace and Layla. Predeceased by his parents Giulio and Angela Vani, parents-in-law Ulissi and Concetta DeRocco. Arnaldo was a dear brother to (the late Adriano) Jean Vani, Agata (the late Vince Mancino), and brother-in-law to Mary Gibson, (the late Jean) Italo Colangeli, (the late Tony DeRocco) Shirley, and the late Michael and Barbara DeRocco. Arnaldo was a special Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Safranyos, CCAC and their wonderful team of caregivers, Sandra's Home Health Care Services, especially Donna for all her time, care, compassion and home visits. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
