Obituary of William Scott Shiels

Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Saturday, December 20, 2014 after a brief battle with cancer in St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 83. Predeceased by Dorothy, his wife and soul mate of 60 years. Cherished father of Lorraine (David) Campbell, Steven (Carol) Shiels, Paul (Jackie) Shiels. Loving Grandad to Scott (Amanda), Angela (Spencer), Brian (Laurie), Gillian (Gio), Gary (Connie), Kyle (Nancy), Devon, Paige, Kaitelynn and Austin. Great grandfather (Gramps) to Abigail, Piper, Alyssa, Tessa May and Quinn. Bill will also be sadly missed by his beloved brother Bob (Anne) Shiels and sister Moira (John) Orr, brother in law, Hugh (Margaret) Gaffney, many nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada and abroad. In accordance with Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Saturday, December 27th at 9:30am. If desired, memorial donations to Cystic Fibrosis Research would be appreciated by his family.
