Obituary of Edward Charles Bacon

BACON, Edward C. "Ted" Peacefully after a long illness, Ted passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at St. Joseph's Lifecare in Brantford, at the age of 93. He is survived by Theresa, his beloved wife of 65 years, his three sons Edward (Lynn), Jim (Chris) and David (Maxine), his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Ted was predeceased by his sister Marjorie Whelan. Ted was a proud veteran of WWII where he served overseas with the R.C.A.F. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24. A special thank you to the staff of St. Joseph's Lifecare for their compassionate care and support that was given to Ted. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow the service, at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by Ted's family.
