Obituary of Henri Gindroz

GINDROZ, Henri In his 85th year, Henri passed away on October 26, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Married for 31 years to his beloved wife, Lynne Cousins. He also leaves behind his sons Captain Alain (Sherry) Gindroz of Port Dalhousie and Marc of Montreal, as well as his grandson Andy of Port Dalhousie. Also left to grieve are Lynne's mother Jeanette Cousins, as well as Lynne's brothers Mark, Neil (Jenny) and Phil (Jill) Cousins, and his many close friends. Henri had 8 nieces and nephews that will miss him greatly. Henri was a true renaissance man with interests that varied from the arts to airplanes. He spoke 5 languages flawlessly and he had a wicked sense of humour. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The Memorial Service for Henri will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Thursday, October 30th at 2pm. Reception and visitation will directly follow the service in the funeral home. If desired, memorial donations to the War Amps would be appreciated by the family.
