Obituary of Alfred Barc

BARC, Alfred After a hard, courageous battle of prolonged illness, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family to be with his beloved Saviour on Saturday, August 2nd in his 89th year. Loving husband of Sophie and devoted father of Harry (Nancy), Annie (Don), Renate, and Marty (Genevieve). Poppy will be missed by his 17 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also survived by his sisters Irene (Stanley) and Wanda, and their families. Alfred's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Thursday, August 7th from 7-9pm. Visitation will also be held on Friday, August 8th at Central Community Church, 240 Scott Street, St. Catharines from 10-11:30am with a service to celebrate his life taking place at the church at 11:30am. Burial will follow a reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Crossroads Christian Communications (www.crossroads.ca/givelife) would be appreciated by the family.
