The prices set out in this schedule are effective from October 1, 2017 and are subject to change without notice. This list does not include prices for disbursements, such as newspaper notices, cemetery or crematorium charges, or other items and services which we may be asked by the purchaser to arrange with a third party. These items will be shown as "disbursements" or "other" on our final account to the purchaser.

Our Funeral Event Planners will advise purchasers at the time arrangements are made, if any legal or other requirements would constitute the purchase of additional supplies or services.   The prices in this general price list do not include HST.


Professional & Staff Services


Coordinating Activities....................................................................................................................$ 800

 This includes, but is not limited to, the availability and service by our Funeral Event Planner(s) on behalf of the purchaser. This charge includes coordinating the services of our staff and agents such as hospitals and nursing homes to receive the deceased person into our care and cemetery or crematoriums to make the necessary arrangements for final disposition.                                                              

Support Staff Services .........................................................................$245  ($330 on statutory holiday)

This includes, but is not limited to, staffing, maintenance and cleaning of premises and grounds, administrative staffing and reception. It includes the continued maintenance and administration of all permanent records of legal and financial nature as required by Canada Revenue Agency and Bereavement Authority of Ontario.   

Licensed Staff Services for Ceremony...................................................$560 ($760 on statutory holiday) 

This includes, but is not limited to, preparations for attendance at the funeral service of a licensed Funeral Event Planner to direct and assist with the funeral service for a period of time up to four hours in length.                                 

Staff Services for Ceremony Setup.........................................................$125  ($170 on statutory holiday)

This includes, the availability of staff to prepare for a ceremony, necessary setups, coordinating of donations, flowers, parking cars, direction and instructions given to the family and attendees at the ceremony and the attendance of family concierge for up to a maximum of 1 hour prior to the ceremony.

 This charge is for obtaining the necessary information to complete the documentation legally required in connection with the disposition of the deceased, arranging for the filing of the documentation and registration of the death, and providing copies of Proof of Death Certificates.                                                                                                                                

Embalming.......................................................................................................................................$465

Embalming is not a requirement of the law. We recommend embalming in certain circumstances such as; a funeral with viewing, or the holding of a deceased person for a period of time in excess of 48 hours between death and final disposition. We will use our professional judgement to determine on a case by case basis whether we recommend embalming. A professional hair stylist will be provided, as well as application of cosmetics if needed, along with dressing and grooming for the deceased.

Embalming for Special Cases............................................................................................................$675

Embalming for special cases such as a deceased person that has been autopsied or if significant restorative practices are required.                                                                                                                             

Removal of Pacemaker or Implant...................................................................................................$100

The removal of a pacemaker or implant will be carried out by a licensed Funeral Event Planner and must be completed when present in any deceased where cremation is the final disposition.                     

Basic Body Preparation....................................................................................................................$145

These services may include, when necessary, placing the deceased person in the casket or cremation container, extra disinfection of the deceased person when no embalming has been authorized.

Facilities


Facilities Basic Charge......................................................................................................................$555 

This is a minimum charge made by us in all cases for the use of our facilities, including parking area, areas open to the public within our funeral home, our planning rooms, product selection room, viewing room for identification, lounge for coffee, tea, etc. and other facilities and equipment required to operate as a licensed funeral home.                                           

Facilities for Ceremony.......................................................................................................$175 per room

This includes the use of our premises, furnishings and equipment the day of the funeral services. This may include any of all of the following: lectern, organ, sound equipment, religious equipment, flower and donation card display stands, casket bier, casket carriage, etc. Charges are based on a per room usage.      

Facilities for Ceremony Setup............................................................................................$110 per room

This includes the use of a ceremony or gathering room for up to a maximum of 1 hour prior to the beginning of a ceremony for immediate family members and invited guests.                                                                                    

Reception Facilities & Fellowship Facilities......................................................................see chart below

This includes the use of the Kristen French Fellowship Hall or rooms on the main level of the funeral home for a period of up to two hours for a reception, or for use between visitation periods.  These rooms include use of dinnerware, cutlery, coffee/tea urns and tables and chairs if required.

Facilities for Gathering...............................................................................$110 per room per gathering  

This includes use of our facility for gathering of friends and relatives and may include any or all of the following equipment; register desk, casket bier, flower and donation stands, sound system and religious equipment. Includes up to three hour time period for private family and public visitation. Charges are are based on a per room and per visitation basis. Each room holds approximately between 40-60 visistors.                           

Facilities for Shelter, Preperation or Emblaming.............................................................................$270 

Includes use of all necessary equipment for professional or sanitary care of the deceased person together with a room for this purpose. It includes the necessary equipment and supplies in compliance with W.H.M.I.S. regulations, as well as the Occupational Health & Safety Act (Bill 208).                           

Custodial Care........................................................................................................................$25 per day

May be charged after the deceased has been sheltered for a period of 72 hours. This includes the use of a refrigerated holding facility and continuous care and preservation of the deceased person.                                                                                                                                                                                          


Motor Vehicles


Motor vehicle charges are for the use of the funeral home vehicles on a single occasion, such as use of the funeral hearse from the funeral home to the church and then to the cemetery where the trip does not exceed 35 kilometers from our funeral home.  

An additional charge of $85.00/hr will be applied for usage in excess of 3 hours, also $1.75/km may be apply for the use of all vehicles for kilometers in excess of 35 km. Should the family request vehicles to wait between a service and burial for a reception to take place a $85.00/hr charge will apply. Additional fees may apply if the use of a third party transfer service is required. 

Transfer of Deceased and Administrative Services..........................................................................$400

This includes the transfer of the remains of the deceased from the place of  death to the funeral home. This also includes a vehicle that is used by staff in making arrangements, picking up and filing of documents, registering the death and other transportation required to facilitate the services provided by the funeral home. Other services include delivery of floral tributes to the cemetery, church or other local locations as instructed by the family.  This service may also include delivery of the deceased person to the crematorium, other funeral homes, airports, etc.        

Limousine.......................................................................................................................................$290

This charge is for the transportation of family members or casket beaers for a 3 hour period. Overtime charges will apply in excess of 3 hours and kilometers in excess of 35km as listed above.                                                                                          

Clergy or Lead Vehicle.....................................................................................................................$110 

The use of this vehicle may include any or all of the following; transportation for clergy to funeral home, place of funeral rite, place of  final disposition and leading of funeral procession. Overtime charges will apply in excess of 3 hours and kilometers in excess of 35 km as listed above.                                                                                                                                   

Funeral Hearse................................................................................................................................$375 

The use of this vehicle includes the transportation of the deceased person from the funeral home to the place of the funeral rite and to the place of final disposition. Overtime charges will apply in excess of 3 hours and kilometers in excess of 35 km as listed above.                                                                                                         


Disbursements


Disbursements are items arranged for on your behalf by the funeral home. The following are some items that are often identified as “disbursements”.

Coroner’s Fee: This is a fee charged by the coroner for issuing a certificate that allows cremation to take place. The fee is set by the Chief Coroner for Ontario. 

Newspaper Notices: These are charges for death notices placed in newspapers or radio or other media outlets. 

Municipal Death Registration Fee: This is a fee charged by the local municipality to register the death. The fee is set by the municipality and may vary.

Other Items: Florists, Organists, Soloists, Clergy Fees, Catering etc.
